What is My One Sentence Bible?

9-2-09: You can be the most Godly man on earth in wisdom and power, but you’ll still be unfulfilled in your quest for perfection. Ecc 1-2

Whether a fool or a saint, you’ll still one day breathe no more. Humanity is equal in God’s eyes. Ecc 2:16

Put your work in perspective: it will still continue after you’re gone. Prioritize carefully. Ecc 2:17-33

Neither wealth nor hard work brings true contentment. Only God can do that. Ecc 4:7-8

“You better check yourself before you wreck yourself.” Gangster rap group NWA. [Also in Ecclesiastes 5:1-2]

Don’t ever say “yes” if you don’t mean to fulfill that “yes”. Ecc 5:5

Much love.

Andrew,

I just wanted to let you know that I find your one sentence bible as valuable as your love is an orientation work, which I believe is some of the most important work currently being done by a Christian in a secular setting.

Grace and Peace to you!

BBaltrus – Thank you so much for that. I have no idea if anyone reads these or not, or gets anything out of them. I figured if I was getting something out of them (which I do), maybe others would too? Your words have touched my heart so deeply. Thank you from the depths of my soul for letting me know. Much love!!!

Keep it up, maybe with fewer verses. You never know who you will touch.

The Word is powerful & the Spirit uses it!
