Come on Over Southern California

This weekend I will be preaching all 4 services (6pm on Saturday and 8:30am, 10am and 11:30am on Sunday) at Parkcrest Church in Long Beach, CA. Feel free to swing on by, I’d love to see you! Then on Monday May 24th Parkcrest will be hosting a leaders gathering about building bridges, which is open to the public. For info on RSVPing for this free event, look here.

And while I’m there, I’m really looking forward to seeing some of my good friends who live out there (and nicely enough, on the Ocean.) Holla. :)

Much love.

Will you be podcasting your sermon? I’d love to hear it but it’s quite the drive from Idaho just for a morning.

Andrew,
Thank you so much for coming to preach at Parkcrest last Sunday. I am so happy you decided to come to lunch with all of us crazy college kids. As of Sunday I was still on the hunt for an apartment…everything I was looking at was way out of my price range. Then you asked us if any of us knew someone living intentionally in a predominatley gay neighborhood. I was the only person who knew someone out of the group. Well, I went home and prayed about my living situation. Guess what? I decided to move intentionally into a gay neighborhood. Monday, I emailed my friend Jon and wouldn’t you know there was an opening in his building. A building where every tenant is gay. I believe that God threw that door open on Sunday for me to walk through. Thank you for coming to Long Beach, thank you for helping me understand that as a straight Christian I need to go out and reach out to all of the people of my city. I look forward to the relationships I am to build in the next coming months. I wish you the best!

Yo! Andrew………wish I could have come there. Would have loved it. I am sure you raised some eyebrows and stretched some folks comfort zones.

I am a complete believer in what God is doing in and through you. You are His instrument; bridging gaps and breaking down walls.

Thank you for all you do!
