Speaking at the University of Illinois

February 18, 2010 · 8 comments

Over the next 2 days I will be speaking seven times at the University of Illinois to everyone from campus Christian groups, gay groups, youth groups, city-wide pastors and a general session open to the public. They’ve packed my schedule from 12-9pm on Thursday and from 7am-9pm on Friday! Your prayers for strength (especially since I’m just getting over being pretty sick) and a clear mind are quite welcome. Let’s see the Lord continue to do some crazy stuff on this campus.

Much love.

I’m in the Champaign area. Where are you speaking, and is it open to the public? I’ve heard a couple of your interviews on the Neue podcast and I’m pretty interested in hearing more about what you have to say.

Definitely be praying for you. I heard some good things about the Ball State trip from a former student of mine. Hoping this trip brings an even bigger impact!

Ian – The main organinzers of this are the Vineyard church in Urbana (1500 N. Lincoln Ave) partnering with a few campus groups, therefore off the top of my head I believe the talks will be in a few locations. I don’t have all of the details in front of me as I am in the car en route, but if you call the church I know they can give you all of the info. I think a few are open to the public: 7pm on Thurs and 9am, 1:30pm and 7pm on Fri. Hope to meet you!

My prayers go with you. You are a bridge builder, but you also bring a message of hope – Hope for LGBT people, their friends and families that LGBT people can be part of the Kingdom of God. May God richly bless.

Thanks for coming, Andrew! Hope you weren’t terribly overworked on this trip. It was awesome for us. =)

Unbelievable! I picked up your book at random off the new book shelf at Champaign Public Library earlier this week and just read through the whole thing today. I can’t believe you were just in town this week and I missed you. I hope they’ll invite you back sometime. The work you’re doing is wonderful. Thank you.
